Terry E. Williams grew up in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Mr. Williams graduated from North Georgia College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. While a student at North Georgia College, he held numerous leadership positions in student government and in Sigma Nu Fraternity. Mr. Williams received his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1987, graduating cum laude. In addition to his studies, he was a member of the ABA Constitutional Law Team and the National Moot Court Team which received first place honors and the Best Brief Award at the 1986 regional competition. For excellence in courtroom advocacy, Mr. Williams was honored by an election to membership in the Order of the Barristers.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. Williams was first associated with a large Atlanta law firm, where he specialized in municipal and public entity liability and civil rights litigation. In 1991, Mr. Williams became a founding partner in the Atlanta law firm of Barnhart, O’Quinn & Williams, where he further developed his expertise in the field of municipal and public entity liability.
In 1999, Mr. Williams founded the law firm of Terry E. Williams & Associates, P.C., now known as Williams & Waymire, through which he has continued to specialize in civil litigation, with an emphasis on defending public entities, public officials and employees in tort and civil rights litigation, both in federal and state courts. Mr. Williams and the firm handle general liability matters, police misconduct and other civil rights violations in cases in federal court, premises liability, land use, personal injury, wrongful death and other tort matters in state court. Mr. Williams is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Georgia. He has an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Since 2002 Jason’s practice has focused primarily on litigation, often in defense of public entities and employees in personal injury and civil rights litigation. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients in federal and state courts since 2002, and handled over 40 appeals to the federal and Georgia appellate courts. Jason is a partner with the firm.
Jason went to law school at the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating in 2002 with honors. While in law school Jason assisted low income victims of domestic violence through the law school’s Family Violence Clinic, and performed an internship with Central Florida Legal Services in Daytona Beach, Florida.
After graduation from law school Jason served as a law clerk for the Superior Court judges of Georgia’s Conasauga Circuit, serving primarily under Chief Judge William T. Boyett. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2002, and is authorized to practice in all Georgia courts, including the federal Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern districts of Georgia.
Jason grew up in south Georgia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1998, graduating with highest honors.
